”Ponoko” Ltd., Reg. No. 000315371, was registered by the Latvian Register of Enterprises on 05.10.1993, the legal address being 104-104 Deglava Street, Riga, LV-1082. The main spheres of the Company's activities are as follows: scientific research, manufacture and sales of the created products. In 1994, based on a competition, ”Ponoko” Ltd., as a company based at the Latvian Medical Academy and dealing with the development of new inventions having a market value, obtained a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science for conducting clinical tests of water “Marina” on practically healthy people and those suffering from different pathologies. As a result of the tests, the water “Marina” was registered by the Latvian Pharmacological Committee under Reg. No. 96-03-04.
     In 1996, “Ponoko” Ltd. obtained yet another grant for scientific and clinical studies with the purpose of improving the basic composition of the “Marina” water in order to carry out directional transit of microelements into cells. As a result, the “Marina” water containing calcium, selenium, silicon appeared. Since 1998, ”Ponoko” Ltd. has been manufacturing “Marina” water and selling it in the Latvian pharmacies and trade networks.
